House, part 2

Okay, girls...I really need some ideas here!! I like this room pretty well, it's my bathroom...
I like the stuff in it...It's all practical.
Except for this.

And this I still love...got it for 3.00 a few years ago. But does anyone still do lavender bathrooms? Is it to much? Am I just growing up?! I am all for sophistication, but does this look "old"? I think I want to do a modern/rach type thing, but it doesn't work in this house. No, it doesn't! So what's a girl to do?

The King and I? Good movie...anyway. I have been reading a lot of artsy blogs lately, and I feelin' pretty so-so about my house. it's okay, but nothing to-die-for. Remember when my house used to be to-die-for? Well...I just am not feeling inspired to rearrange and update right now. So I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP! I am going to post pictures of every room over the next week or so, and you comment on what you think I should change/keep. 'K?

Dining room, obviously. State souvenir plates on the wall. I like the parasol light cover...Bland...needs pop.
Cute cabinet...paint? And too much stuff, needs to be edited.
