New Shoes

These are my new shoes. They weren't cheap, but that doesn't matter to me. Because they're fabulous, that' what they are.
Here I have one of the vintage dresses I found while pregnant. Thinking I would lose the weight right away. Anyway, I was going to list them on eBay since they would never fit. and look! This one did! Sort of....and it looks all shiny, but it's super sophisticated in real life. Trust me!

Elvis, baby!

A loves magnets right now. I have put some of the bi ones down so she can reach them, and I ave Elvis and Lucy "paper doll" magnets that she carries around the kitchen with her.
This morning, she was talking to Elvis, "Bayybeee, beeebee..." I said "Elvis is a man, not a baby." A: "Beebeeee." Me: "No, he's all grown up. He's a man." A: "Weawy?" Me: "Yes." A: "Oh." Then she throws him down. Hmm...

Why I am not good at posting frequently

#1: Monkey's 1st birthday party planning and preparation.
Handmade favor baskets. Each will have the little "birthday fairy" card, a candy ice cream cone, pastel mints and party poppers, and whatever else I can find to cram in before the big day!
#2: Super cute invites! I know it's almost 2 months early STILL, but they are hand made, hand written, hand stamped and tied up with ribbon and 1 candle. So, I had to get them finished.
#3: My garage sale find of the weekend (and probably for the rest of the year, the way things have been going) Anyway, I plan to put them on a little shelf in my yellow/pink laundry room...

#4 Chasing Monkey around the house. She LOVES, L_O_V_E_S to empty "her" drawer. About 10 times a day.
"Carrots. Better in the jar than on my plate, Mom!"

#5: Doing laundry. Then what do I find in my clean sheets?

A rotten Taco Willie Nelson, all burrowed in for the night!

#6: Monkey's first picnic. Love the cool exterior. She gets that from me!

#7 Making a baby gift for a friend, a little memory box.
It contains lots of little charts, a packet for his first haircut and a photo/not journal for his first year, which contains holiday notes and other little bits..

#8 : Taking Monkey to the city pool.

#9: Monkey's first watermelon! And the ensuing sanitation of everything within 10 feet of her chair...Note the pink lake on her tray alone.#10: Okay, a few of these. But I'm pretty sure this was our only together nap, ever.

#11: A bunch of holiday stuff for Lola Rue. I'm not ready to show you yet!
